Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup
... it's the way of the future.
Nothing makes it onto our must-have list unless a) we want it real, real bad, or b) we have it, we’re obsessed with it and we think you really need it in your life too.
This foundation innovation called Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup (and *BREATHE*) falls into category ‘b’.
To put it simply, it’s one of those things you didn’t know you needed until you have it.
Yes, it’s literally a ‘cushion’ on a ‘stick’, but what the vessel holds inside + what it does to your skin + how the thing operates is SO. MUCH. MORE. It makes the chore of doing makeup kinda fun and you don’t even get your hands dirty.
My fail-safe way to test a foundation is to apply it to one cheek, then see how obvious it looks on a level of 1 to Kim Kardashian. Anything above three is severely disappointing.
I want my foundation to make an obvious difference, but without being obvious… and Cushion Stick does exactly that.
There’s something really suffocating about foundation that wears/looks like a mud mask, but this one feels ultra-light. You can actually reapply over the top if you’re heading out after work and it won’t get all weird on you.
It pretty much disappears (melts?) into your skin, and leaves it looking incredibly even, hydrated and glowy. It gives me the skin I wish I had (in one step). I’ve been using the original Double Wear foundation for years, but Cushion Stick has really upped the anti.
I’ve got my Creative Assistant Lainy hooked now too, and when she rocks into the office hungover I can’t even tell anymore.
We made some pretty pictures of me and my favourite new foundation friend (skin courtesy of Cushion Stick in ‘Desert Beige’), and we hope you like them. If you’re wondering how I apply it, here’s a video we made (plz watch it, it took us a whole day + six coffees to make it).
Try it for yourself and I pinky promise you won’t be disappointed.
