Out with the new, in with the old.

I’ve been into vintage shopping since day dot. The history and the quality of the garments, along with the guaranteed originality of your finds, just tickles my fancy. I find it super bloody fun to hunt for goodies, whether that’s at a curated IRL or online vintage shop or a thrift store.

I recently found myself hankering for a good vintage buy, so decided to take a trip back through our #STREET365 archives to see what advice I could find on the matter. Turns out we’re overflowing with hot tips, suggestions and advice on this V.I.P matter from our favourite ladiez, so thought it my duty to create a lil’ list of places to go to fulfil all your vintage shopping desires.

“NYC has tons of options to get out of the fast-fashion rut and upgrade any closet with one-of-a-kind outfits. The best vintage clothing stores are Star Struck Vintage Clothing, Mr. Throwback, 10 ft Single by Stella Dallas and L Train Vintage.”

“I’m also a vintage store fiend, I like the hunt. My favourite is Fabrique Vintage, they have the best denim and Breton stripes.”

“This Instagram account @the_drobe. It’s run by a few girls who find and post vintage clothes and then anyone can bid on them… it’s cheap and really good!”
