I’ll happily change a billion times of a morning to find an outfit that perfectly communicates my #currentmood, but when it comes to my makeup routine, I want it to be as quick and effective as possible. The lazy girl approach to beauty, if you will.
I go through various ~signature look~ phases depending on a whole host of reasons (current style vibe, what my skin is doing, how I’m feeling, what Rihanna is up to, etc), but when I’m overseas for work, the goal always remains the same. And that is to pretend that whatever long-haul flight I’ve just disembarked from hasn’t stolen every ounce of moisture from my body – cue flawless, you-gonna- need-sunglasses- to-look- at-me levels of glowing skin.
It’s an ambitious but very necessary goal – especially when I factor in my hectic schedule, which generally begins at the crack of dawn and doesn’t end late in the evening. Long story short, whatever products I use to mask the effects of flying need to stay put for many, many hours…
*Bows down to Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Nude Fresh*.
I was really feeling the neutral tones this Paris Fashion Week, so I decided to compliment that with a subtle, feminine makeup lewk. The main onus was on moisturised skin and a creamy complexion, and then I weaved in some soft pink metallic highlights to tsjuz it all up. I was also really feeling the pressure to be in a million different places at once, so my makeup was usually done in the backseat of a car in under five minutes.
Watch the video below to see how it’s done! All products used are listed below the video xx

Conceal where needed – for me, the key areas are under the eyes, around the nose and mouth and on blemishes.
Product note: I’m using Estée Lauder Double Wear Waterproof All Day Extreme Wear Concealer in ‘2C Light Medium (Cool)’.
Buff foundation into skin using a brush. I start in the middle of my face and work outwards. If you’re looking for something that creates flawless coverage with a dewy finish I highly recommend Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh (it’s my new everyday staple!).
Product note: I’m using Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh in ‘2N1 Desert Beige’.
Brush brows up, and then shade in the shape with an angular pencil.
Product note: I’m using Tom Ford Brow Sculptor.
Apply a metallic cream product to eyelids, and then mix the same shade with a serum to create a sheer wash of colour for the cheeks.
Product note: I’m using Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Paint On Liquid Lipcolor in ‘Lacquer Lover Metallic’ mixed with Advanced Night Repair Serum.
Define the eyes by shading-in along the lower lash line with your brow pencil (this gives a really soft and natural result).
Waterline the upper eyelashes using a kohl pencil to make your eyes pop.
